“I have been a BBC WS listener for over 20 years. I recently heard Rani Singh broadcast from the Bangladesh/India border. It was a short item – but exceptional. Stopped brushing my teeth. And listened! Articulate, warm, thoughtful – a wonderful radio communicator. Zero treacle-sentimentality but the best sort of human feeling for the people and the story. For me, more evocative of the human side of Bangladesh than any other report from there, that I have heard. First rate professional (writing and communicating). Close human communication with no need for (or occurrence of)ā€¯bonding” dashes-of-vulgarity or too easy informality.”
